Germantown Cricket Club is a private country club in an urban setting that offers a full range of athletic and social activities. Play a match against your own personal rival on one of our spectacularly groomed grass tennis courts. Play where some of the tennis greats, including Bill Tilden, sharpened their skills or, if the weather is too hot or cold, enjoy our four newly renovated indoor courts. Challenge both yourself and your opponent of choice in our state of the art Squash Center. Strive to achieve the health you desire in our modern Fitness Center with a personal trainer who will design a fitness program just for you. You can even have a birthday party for your children in our four lane bowling alley or let your cares float away as you relax in our beautiful pool and enjoy a bite to eat at our pool side snack bar.

Dine with your family and friends in our stately nineteenth century clubhouse either on the porch overlooking the grass tennis courts, in our warm Grille Room or the formal Manheim Dining Room. We offer the Grand Ballroom for Weddings, Banquets, and Formal Affairs and utilize our Manheim and Clarke Rooms in satisfying meeting and dining needs for more business type affairs.

Job Summary

Germantown Cricket Club is seeking to add to their team an experienced professional, Membership Director, with demonstrated experience to manage and be accountable for all facets of the Membership Department. Creating more awareness throughout the community and neighboring areas of Philadelphia to promote the services, facilities and benefits of membership, along with assisting all members with personal referrals will be the primary focus in generating leads to enhance membership growth. 

The Membership Director must have a proven ability to conduct/coordinate market research and implementation of market assessments in the Club’s key market groups. A key component of this position is relations, communications and the ability to effectively network and represent the Club in the local community.

This candidate must perform all duties with a focus on exceptional service standards and a great attention to detail. Candidate must be a self starter, able to develop and work a marketing plan and able to work independently, as well as, with a departmental team. Candidates’ key intention is to promote club membership opportunities through creating more awareness about the club through various resources and venues as approved by Senior Management, the Membership Committee and the Board of Directors/Governors.

Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications and/or public relations is preferred but not mandatory. Outstanding communication skills including: presentations, one-on-one and group communications along with exceptional written and verbal skills, as well as, prior knowledge and experience of the marketing and sales process are imperative.
